    Electronic cigarettes gave me another chance in life 

    This is my heartfelt experience and I am sharing this, thinking it might encourage a few others to transform their lives meaningfully. Trust me friends, it is taking a lot of audacity for me to come up live and own up that I was an addict smoker who was smoking at least thirty fags a day. Not only this, in severe depression the rise kept mounting higher and I kept increasing my cigarette consumption till the time I could barely wake up without popping a smoke in my mouth. Life was a total mess, and house was in cinders. I had no friends who would stay beside an addict who did not eat, could not clean but only smoke. This way my life till I got to know of electronic cigarettes.

    Life was a total mess. And I know that I was falling for a severe prey, but I could not do much about it. Though I realized that my addiction was isolating me from my friends, family and a healthy way of life, I still could not bring myself to give up smoking tobacco. Every morning, actually early afternoon, when I woke up, I blamed myself for this life situation & my dilapidated life condition. But I did not know how to handle this! What was worst was that I found it difficult to combat my loneliness and handle my situation all by myself. My hands and my hair reeked of tobacco smoke perpetually and the greasiness caused within by excessive smoking, led to lack of appetite.

    But this was not to run for long, the life span is short and one has to take many lessons in life. I had developed a severe intestinal infection caused by remaining hungry for longer durations and by being gastric due to excessive smoke and pollution. That is when I had to force myself to visit a doctor. The doctor examined the entire thing and told me that it was surprising that I did not have any dangerous infection already. He also warned me that I might run into cancer if I did not stop myself at my current stature. I sure got panicked and was scared. He referred a counsellor who would listen to me and offer mental support while he offered to cure me of the addiction and the diseases.

    Paying heed I went over to the clinical psychologist who listened to me intently and urged me to make light of the situation and forgive myself. He suggested that I opt and try electronic cigarettes once. I listened to him and did, and trust me; it took me no time in shifting from dangerous and vociferous tobacco cigarettes to electronic cigarettes. E-cigs got me hooked in to vaping, which allowed me to enjoy the puff and avoid the harmful effects in the meanwhile. First, it was difficult but gradually I became habitual to the taste of electronic cigarettes. Surprisingly after substituting my preference to these electronic cigarettes, these also reduced my intensity of smoking, instead of thirty cigarettes I only now needed to vape twice or thrice. Even these three smokes, only allowed me to consume 0.1 percent nicotine compared to the dangerous whole. It saved me thus, in two protective measures.

    Smoking: The most vibrant example of psychological dependency 

    It is indeed a very difficult task to give up on smoking. It is for once easy to contemplate dying, but it is indeed difficult to give up one one’s innate dependency on smoking. Smoking is a difficult habit to leave or give up. I have seen these people suffering at the cost of severe health hazards, for it is impossible to quit even if the health of an individual is failing. I have seen this suffering with my own eyes. My 18 year old brother was suffering with a terrible lung infection, all due to tobacco. Yet, he found it really difficult to keep his hands off cigarettes. It was a very bad state of affairs as a single puff of tobacco used to undo all the benefit done by innumerable allopathic medicines. Yet, to no avail. He just kept receding to the concept of smoking, since the very idea of giving up his clutch, the support stem in the form of a cigarette stick made my brother insecure and scared. This is when the doctors suggested that he tries electronic cigarette as an alternative.

    Before this there were many alternatives that the doctors suggested, for example, nicotine patches, gums, mints, hard-candies, inhalers etc. that were adapted and then given up in vain. These measures sure acted effectively for temporary suspension, but they weren’t much of an assistance to produce a long term result. Reading, writing, eating, and drinking a lot of water really helped in reducing the cravings to smoke.     Real time story: electronic cigarettes are life savers! 

    This is a real life experience that I am sharing with all my might. I picked up smoking fairly early in life, when I was 12.
